PHILIPPIANS 2:5–11

The Call to Christlike Humility (Philippians 2:5)
Pastor Joe Ducharme teaches that unity and joy in the church begin with believers embracing the same humble mindset that Christ displayed.

Jesus Is Fully God and Eternally Divine (Philippians 2:6)
Jesus existed in the very nature of God and did not cling to his rights or status, reminding the church that true greatness is not found in grasping for power.

The Self-Emptying of Christ Through Incarnation (Philippians 2:7)
Christ emptied himself not by losing his deity but by adding humanity, taking the nature of a servant and entering the world in humility for the sake of saving sinners.

Christ’s Obedience Leads Him to the Cross (Philippians 2:8)
Jesus humbled himself even further by submitting to death on a Roman cross, showing the depth of God’s love and the ultimate example of sacrificial obedience.

The Father Exalts the Humble Son (Philippians 2:9–11)
Because Christ went low, God highly exalted him and gave him the name above all names, ensuring that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess him as Lord.
