Sermon Notes

Jude 1:8-11

Jude calls believers to contend for the faith by recognizing and rejecting false teachers who distort God’s truth, promote self-centered living, and lead others away from the gospel of grace. Through the examples of Michael the archangel, Cain, Balaam, and Korah, we learn to trust the Lord in spiritual battles, humbly submit to His authority, remain faithful to His Word, and reject pride, greed, and rebellion.

Practical Takeaways

  • Know God’s Word. Regularly study Scripture so you can recognize false teaching and remain grounded in the truth God has already revealed.
  • Stand for the Truth. Regardless of the cost, stand for the truth of God’s Word.
  • Walk in humility and integrity. Reject pride, greed, and rebellion against God’s authority, and trust the Lord to fight your battles as you faithfully follow Him.
