What We Believe
Love & Community
We believe that a church without love is not a church at all. The greatest commandment is to love God with all our hearts and to love others the same way we love ourselves, reflecting Christ’s heart to the world. The Bible says that if we don’t have love, we are nothing. That’s why we take this command seriously and come to church willing to lay our lives down for one another and carry each other’s burdens.
The Bible & Teaching
We believe that a church has to be biblical if it’s going to be of any real help. We teach verse-by-verse through the Bible. Sticking close to the biblical text keeps us spiritually healthy, productive, and on the straight and narrow path. We do not water down the Gospel or skip the harder passages. The truth must be taught in love, and as the Lord Jesus taught, the truth will set us free.

Our Beliefs
The Bible and Our LORD
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It was composed by men who were guided by the Holy Spirit. Because it originates from God, every portion of it is true. The Bible serves as our final authority for how we conduct ourselves and what we affirm. We do not look to the world to dictate right from wrong. We look to the Word of God. We teach it verse by verse, believing very passage is spirit breathed for us.
Our Beliefs
God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit
God
We believe there is only one true God. He has eternally existed and He always will. He reveals Himself in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are all equal and they are all God. God created the world and everything within it. He is sovereign over all things. He is holy, compassionate, and full of love for the citizens of Santa Rosa and the world.
Jesus
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is fully divine and fully human. He was born of a virgin and maintained a perfect life without any sin. Jesus died on a cross to atone for our sins. He rose from the grave three days later. He ascended to heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father. He is the solitary way for a person to be reconciled to God and receive a new life.
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is God. He indwells every person who follows Jesus. He assists us in understanding what the Bible communicates.He provides the fortitude to live a life that honors God. He also bestows gifts to support our church family and our neighbors in Sonoma County.
Our Beliefs
Sin and Salvation
We believe all people possess a sinful nature that bends its own way against God. Sin creates a separation between us and God, making the atonement of Jesus the only way to salvation.
No one can save themselves by being a decent person or performing religious rituals. Salvation is a free gift from God. It only comes through genuine faith in Jesus Christ. When we repent of our sin and trust in Jesus, God forgives us and grants us a fresh start.
Our Beliefs
The Church and Return of Christ
The church is not a physical structure or a location. It is a community of people who trust in Jesus. Our responsibility is to worship God, teach the Bible, and love one another. We aim to be a light in our town and distribute the hope of Jesus to everyone we encounter.
We believe Jesus Christ is coming back to earth again. We do not know when it will occur, but we live as if it could be today. This hope keeps us focused on what is essential. It motivates us to live honest lives and inform others about the grace of God.
