SUNDAY SERVICES
CHURCH SERVICES AT CALVARY CHAPEL THE ROCK
Our Sunday church services at Calvary Chapel The Rock in Santa Rosa are all about gathering as a church family to worship Jesus, hear His Word, and encourage one another. Whether you are new to church, returning after time away, or have followed Christ for many years, you are welcome to join us as we grow in faith together.
What Our Sunday Services Are Like
On a typical Sunday morning you can expect:
- A friendly welcome at the doors
- Time to find a seat and get settled
- Christ centered worship through congregational singing
- Scripture reading and prayer
- Verse by verse Bible teaching that is clear and practical
- Opportunities to respond through prayer and fellowship
The focus of every service is Jesus Christ and the teaching of God’s Word. We open the Bible together, walk through the passage, and learn how to apply it in everyday life at home, at work, at school, and in the community.
Teaching and Worship
Our services are shaped by:
- Verse by verse teaching through books of the Bible
- Messages that explain Scripture and apply it to real life
- Worship that is reverent, joyful, and centered on Christ
The worship team leads the church in songs that are rooted in Scripture and focused on the gospel, with a blend of contemporary worship and classic hymns. Teaching is Bible based and intended to help you understand God’s Word, see Jesus more clearly, and grow as a disciple.
On some Sundays we also share in communion together as a church body in remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice.
Kids and Students on Sundays
Sunday is for the whole family. During services:
- KidMin (Kids Ministry) is available for nursery through upper elementary children
- Check in for KidMin opens 15 minutes before each service near the main entrance
- All children’s volunteers are background checked and trained
Middle school and high school students are encouraged to attend the worship service with their families and are welcome to serve in various ministries on Sundays, including worship, tech, greeting, children’s ministry, and hospitality.
Community and Connection
Church services are more than a one hour event. Sundays are a weekly opportunity to:
- Meet and connect with others in the church
- Pray with leaders and brothers and sisters in Christ
- Learn about ministries such as Home Groups, Youth, and Young Adults
- Take next steps in discipleship and serving
If you are new, you will find people ready to say hello, answer questions, and help you get connected. Many friendships, prayer relationships, and ministry involvement begin with simple conversations on Sunday mornings.
